About the MIT Club of Ottawa
The MIT Club of Ottawa was founded on 6 October
1987 by Prof. Ed Cohen of the University of Ottawa with the aid of the
Alumni Office of MIT. While the membership is mainly composed of MIT
Alumni/ae who live in and around the Ottawa/Hull region, anyone who has
scientific/humanistic interests is welcome to join. Members have joined
from Cornwall to Chalk River.
The main activities consist of three to four
lectures given by specialized scientists/humanists each year. One of
these is given by a Professor from the Institute usually in April or
May.
